shows the bracket on the dash as it came in 1973. is alum channel. slid in it for looks is a mating piece of brown formica to cover the screws when not in use. If you have this bracket already there, simply screw a flat alum metal piece on edge of your table and have it stick up about 1/8". To install, tip table 45 degrees up in air to slide this lip into the alum channel and bring back down. Done. Of course you need a leg for it to stand on under it too.
I think I have seen these alum channels in lots of hardware/home improvement stores for other purposes...
