Knock Sensor Install 2
Modifications needed to facilitate Knock Sensor Installation. The Fan Venturi Bracket flange gets in the way of the Knock Sensor being bottomed in the forward block drain hole. That is a Block Heater in the Frost plug. In Northern Canada, a Block heater is is a must in the winter. (I may use it to preheat the engine on cool days) ( I had one anyway and this was a good time to install it) !!! There is a good space behind the bracket for the cord.
Im using a Chevy 454 Sensor and it nicley responds to a hammer tap on the block.
