This is the LED Driver of this LED tail light project. While there are other options that can and have been used in other modifications, it was the direction I chose to achieve my goals. I chose to use this particular model for what seemed to be advantages at the time. It happened to be low cost, low profile, right color, (Red) and provided a number of LEDs that I thought would fill the housing with sufficient light. Evaluating the work, actual product quality and other end results, I would choose a bit differently, BUT I\'m not disappointed with the result. I purchased 4 units planning on using 2 units per housing, spaced away from the lens surface. The overall light plane would be be about the same as the illuminated lens size. I also expected the bright red LEDs would be be dispersed nicely with the plastic prisiming of the housing lens. Even though I\'m quite happy with the results, there might be some things I might do differently if I did it again.
