Cut out housing reflector shows notches to accommodate the outside LEDs The notches are needed to keep the board as far back as possible, and give good support to the circuit board at the same time. It cannot be seen in this photo, but there is a divider between the reverse light and the fixture itself. Note too, that the back of the lens has prisms molded into the surface to spread the light. We want to use this feature to our advantage.
