Nathan and Ray had this puppy out and ready to go to the rebuilders by noon.IMHO I am not impressed With what I see in this engine. It does have G heads---very little porting has been done. It blew the intake manifold and allowed exhaust gases to go into the valley. Several lobes of the cam have been worn down a lot. When Jim took the heads to rebuilder the valve heights were all over the place. I could not believe that the rocker arms looked to be stock with the aluminum bridges. The final blow for me was that when Ray tried to remove the balancer he had one heck of a time getting the bolt out---it had been cross threaded when installed.
