The ultimate proportional braking system for your toad

This device will provide proportional braking for your toad at minimal cost. While my actual cost was $0.00, I've estimated the total for those few people with even less well populated parts bins than mine. For those with less aggressive braking needs, a concrete block can be substituted for the steel weight which I already had on hand after a midnight requisition down at the railroad track.


Since the design is purely back-of-napkin, I'll have to ask Rick Denney to prepare the mathematical equations to enable each user to adjust the design for their own requirements. While calibrated testing cannot reasonably be conducted until this time next year, the design is essentially foolproof; no one need call to see when I'll be using it on the road. Ken H. 090401
