This photo doesn\'t really do it justice. I have a set of Michelin winter tires (X-Ice) that are P205/75R15. The guys on VW forums told me that I could get away with that size tire on the original wheels without any problems. They seem to be right. That and all the other added things has given the VW bug very good clearance. Fact is the other day I had it up next to a early Willys Jeep and the VW had better clearance than the front transfer case on the Willys. So I think I\'m ready to go off road with the VW. All the modifications I\'ve made to this VW are totally reversible. Simply remove them and your back to an original VW Super Beetle convertible. Well I'll have to put out $50 for a new triple chrome plate front bumper :-)
