The beginnings: Upper left is the Progressive Dynamics Automatic Transfer Switch. Shore Power and Generator power enter here. If only one of these is detected, it will select that one. If you are plugged into shore power and then start the generator, the electronic control circuitry monitors it?s AC power output and when the voltage reaches a safe level, it triggers the timing circuit and starts the 30-second timer. This 30-second delay allows the generator to reach a stable operating speed and voltage before connecting generator power to the panel. Lower-left is the new master-breaker panel (2-pole), with sub-breakers for the items that would not be run on the inverter: A/C, water heater, and the inverter/battery charger. Lower-right is the sub-panel for items that can be run off of the inverter: Microwave, Refrig, and 120 vac plugs. \"
