From Bob Burkitt: This is a drawing of how the oil cooler lines attach to the oil cooler adapter. The adapter can be removed in an emergency and the oil filter only used. The oil cooler is used only on the GMC motorhome, and was not used on the 455 in Tornado car applications, so the engine can run without it, especially in cool weather.
