Slide the Heat Shrink tubing down, and apply heat with a heat gun. (or a lighter like I'm using here but do not burn things just bring the flame near) Some strip caulk to replace what was removed will keep it water tight. I have not shown the distributor end of this wire because the one I harvested already had the connector needed. If you need one for the distributor end, they are available from the parts store.
After so many years, this firewall connector has really done a fantastic job, and in great shape. I've seen these have corrosion and cause some ignition problems. If you have time, inspect and service this connector.
