HVAC Fan or Blower Speed Resistors
This is the HVAC fan or blower speed control Resistor network. The power going to the fan will be switched through differing combinations of these resistors to slow down the fan. (No resistors results in high speed and more resistors mean low speeds. ) 4 fan speeds are possible These resitors get VERRY HOT, That is why they are in the air stream of the HVAC Box. Keep in mind that the Blower motor can get hot too. That is why there is a cooling hose going to the motor from the HVAC Box.
