I bought 12v LED strip lights from Ebay (China) and installed them on the toe kick and behind the overhead cabinets. They are controlled by one of my Chinese marine switches and a Chinese rheostat. I think the total cost was $25 delivered to my door. The lights are available in multiple colors and both warm and bright white.
