Tail Light Housing and LED Fixture

The purpose is to modify a later model GMC Van, Tail light fixture to LED and install it on our coach as an updated fixture. There have been a number of different members who have used a number of differing strategies to achieve the same thing. Each having an interesting set of outcomes. They have all inspired me to try my own. Here is one more iteration. The advantages of the LED in lighting our fixtures are all part of the underlying ioutcome. My purpose was also to marry the “Stock” look of the newer fixture style with the LED advantage. The biggest trick is to find or create a LED lighting strategy for the fixture and there are tons of possible contenders. I originally thought I might fabricate a lighting strategy from scratch and I may still try. But this looked like a good, easily reproducible solution to try. Using a used housing and a set of simple off the self 6 by 2 Oval universal LED tail light fixtures.
