It seems there was a change in the bogie shock attachment area. On my 75 you can see a noticable relief in the casting to allow for the shock rock guard. Older models might not have as much relief and you might have a binding problem. Some GMCers have ground some of the casting away or placed a thick washer on to get clearance.
