Master Cylinder
Old and new Master Cylinder photo's for 1973 GMC taken during replacement 2012
Queries:
1. Why is there a bolt in the old front MC fluid reservoir, but not in the replacement?
2. Does it matter that the old MC has a machined metal finish with an outside groove around the bore end and the new one has a cast finish with no groove?
3. The rubber sleeve where the bore end of the MC slots into the power drive is not a perfect circle / a little puckered - does that matter?
Notes:
1. larger thread diameter of front brake line than rear brake line.
