Original Oil Cooler Adaptor Gasget?
The oil cooler adaptor Gasget removed from the engine looked like this. It is the result of using an old oil filer Gasget in the place of the proper gasget of O ring. The gasket is actually too large and it extrudes like this when proper torque is applied to the extension bolt. The problem is that it will leak, move around and may even crack the oil filter adaptor. Use a proper O Ring!
Use a Parker Hannifin 2-230 O Ring or equivilent.
