Dropped Ceiling

Installed steel 2x4 joists to create space for 4 inch insulation batts and ducted AC. I drilled and tapped 8-32 holes in the alum frame and used stainless steel machine screws and washers to mount the rail. The rail will also support the ceiling panels. The panels will be integral with the overhead cabinets (also new). The cabinet/ceiling panels will bolt to the standard locations inside the cabinets, and from the inside of the ac duct. This will permit hidden hardware. The center duct will either be hinged with latches for easy cleaning or screwed on with birch batten strips to accommodate hardware.
