When we installed the 1\" miniblinds, we used a 1x2 wooden header fastened to an aluminum angle. I drilled a hole where each mounting bolt goes through the back of the cabinet, then cut a notch in the aluminum to allow the angle to slide over the bolts and slide down a little to position it. . The blind header tilts down away from the wall, allowing a little more clearance. I had to remove the cabinets to get the holes in the right place, but I\'m a Klutz when it comes to \"measure twice, cut once\". A craftsman could take measurements and it would fit. To remove the blinds, all I have to do is back out all the cabinet mounting bolts a little and lift the blind assembly up and to the side, then down, and out she comes.
