Rear Ramps 2
Knowing that the ramp will in contact with the ground, especially when not being used, I used a treated 2X8 for the bottom. Each 8" 2X4 is in direct line with the center line of the tire when the GMC is on the Ramp. The number of layers of 2X8 was determined by the height of the commercial ramp I use for the front wheels. I used the 2X4 cross pieces to decrease the weight of the ramps. I create the climbing serface by cutting 2X8s.
