After the overlay was removed it left areas of residual adhesive. Note that the entire dash panel was chrome plated. The black areas are paint - I don\'t know why. Lacquer thinner removed the adhesive and much of the black paint. It appears that the panel is unaffected by the lacquer thinner but I wouldn\'t risk just dipping it and letting it soak.
