After making a styrofoam pattern that fit the way I wanted it to, I transfered the pattern to, two 1/2\" pieces of treated plywood, cut them out with a saber saw and sandwiched them together with SS screws to make a 1\" thick tray. I made it 1\" thick to carry the weight of two batteries and other engine fluids that I plan to store there.
