Needed more room under the sink, but the sink trap directly under the sink took up a lot of storage space. So, I put an elbow at the drain, ran the drain to the back wall and put the trap against the back wall. Then, instead of gluing the joints, I used screw type hose clamps to hold the joints together. This is a drain, not water supply, so there is no water pressure to create leaks. The screw type clamps provide enough squash to the joint to keep it from leaking, and allow me to take it apart easily if there are issues.Â
