Now I know this looks ugly right now, but the only tape I had was silver duct tape. It will be replaced with white tape as soon as I get to town to buy it. Not much is availabel in very rural Idaho. Of course it is on the back side of the visor, and will only be seen when it is down. I know it is a better solution than if I had tried to sew it to make it look like the original. I think the slit to remove the pieces was a better choice.
