I had left 5/16 ths of an inch between the plywood and the steel frame of the seat. That is the diameter of the bolt of a 5 inch National Barrel Bolt. These are very heavy duty locks. I think they will hold the trays. I usede nylon webing for handles since there was no room for metal ones. It seems like it is all going to work.
