Towing

Towing my '53 CJ-3B on my open car trailer. Estimated weight; 3,800 pounds. Trailer is equipped with electric brakes with a Tekonsha controller in the coach. The coach is equipped with a 3.70 limitted slip final drive, a Hayden transmission cooler, and a Ragusa transmission pan, as well as the electric brake controller and a heavy duty Through-the-bumper hitch. I keep the tongue weight fairly low, around 250 to 300 pounds (about 7.5% of the total trailer weight). I have never experienced any trailer sway at this tongue weight. You can tell it's back there only because of the added drag on the motorhome.
