This was not a pretty site. My oil cooler line ruptured only 10 miles from home, but it was getting dark, and I was lucky to get the rig off the road without engine damage. All the oil was gone though, and I had to get home, and get on the net with an emergency request for advice as to what to do to get it fixed as easily as possible. Several GMC forum members called me to help me out that night. My first advice is to check out your oil cooler lines and replace them at home, but if you do have this happen on the road, stop immediately and make this temporary repair to get you to a safe place for the permanent repair.
