This connection is in the wire harness. This is the transition from ignition source to resistance wire. (18ga black to 20 guage resistance wire) Notice pink printing. This is the points ignition resistance wire that is removed from the harness. The 12ga pink wire will be replacing the resistance wire.
If the HEI is all you are doing, you need to simply disable this wire and put in a 12 ga wire. Don't bother trying to fish it out of the bundle.
