Old Seatbelt Inboard Retractor

This is the retractor on the inboard side.  In my conversations with the seatbelt pros at The Seatbelt Planet I was told that those retractors were designed by GM and were very common in period vehicles and were also sold through the GM Accessories  in the parts departments.    The belt retracting to the floor was such a "Pain"  that The new solutions had to solve the problem.     The drivers and the passengers seatbelts had these retractors.
