Once you've replaced the small Orings, slide the shaft into the larger slider and screw the knob back on. The outside O ring sits in a groove and I used an R07 for it. The other large O ring goes on the lip on the small shaft as shown. I used an R08 for it. It works fine but I think a tighter thicker ring might be better. Something like number 203 on this page: http://www.mcmaster.com/#o-rings/=m48zfl next time I have a reason to order something from McMaster I'll order a package (100) for the 9 bucks. Their shipping is hideous so I'll wait.
*bdub note: I used a 7/16 X 9/16 for the outside and a 3/8 X 9/16 for the end. So in total you need 4 different o-rings: A 3/16 X 5/16, 5/32 X 9/32, 7/16 X 9/16, and 3/8 X 9/16.
