I like the side moulding. I decided to reuse it. If there was something reacting with the stainless steel it would be black. It is still shiney. The problem is with the two cavities holding dirt salt and what ever. All of the problems with the aluminum were where there were great gobs of dirt. You could even see crystals in the dirt where the problems were. So we filled them with butyl rubber caulking tape.
