I don't know how many times I followed a RV or car with some type of Hitch Mount Bike Carrier and watched the whole package rock and wiggle in every direction, Maybe it's that I'm just too picky, however, it bothers me so much that I want mine to be better. Actually, the rocking will damage the bike carrier and the trailer receiver by increasing the rate of wear. Being basically a one point mount, the tolerances of the receiver and the bike carrier are just too loose to firmly hold the carrier appropriately to resist the leverage and stop the rocking. About the only answer is, to increase the number of mounting points to reinforce the bike carrier.
