Chain Tensioning Strategy

Using stainless steel fasteners on the bike carrier itself, and welded chain allows to adjust the exact centring of the tension of the carrier. Using tensioning turnbuckles allow for easy adjustment. You could use the lock nuts on the turnbuckles or not, but I chose to to use the lock nuts. Marine outlets have everything in stainless steel if that is what you want. However, it is not necessary. I use this bike carrier for a different vehicle as well so there are multiple attachment points on the bike carrier.
